BREAKING: King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand No More

We are sad to announce the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand. He was the world's longest-serving head of state and the longest-reigning monarch in Thai history, serving for over 70 years.

Born on 5 December 1927, King Bhumibol Adulyadej -  भूमिबल अतुल्यतेज had chose the name meaning "strength of the land, incomparable power" when he was crowned.

He was also known as Rama IX, as he was the ninth monarch of the Chakri Dynasty who reigned since 9 June 1946.

King Bhumibol Adulyadej was one of the most beloved monarchs in the world.

On behalf of the people of Darjeeling we extend our condolences to the people of Thailand. May you all find strength to overcome this terrible loss.
