Sikkim police have reported that two cases of murder at separate locations have been registered at Rongli Police Station on Sunday morning.
In the first incident, a 33-Year-Old man allegedly stabbed his wife to death following a domestic dispute between them at their residence at Padamchen, East Sikkim. The incident reported took place at about 7.15 am Sunday morning. The alleged accused, Tashi Bhutia has been arrested and booked under murder charges.
On the same day, a 25-Year-Old youth allegedly hacked his grandfather to death with a sharp edged weapon at their residence at Rolep. The incident reported took place at about 11.15 am, the victim, Krishna Bahadur Rai (81) who had retired to his room after having his lunch was hacked to death by his grandson, Rupesh Thapa (25) with a sharp edged weapon. The accused has been arrested and booked under murder charges.
Increasing instances of heinous crimes - rape and murder is highly deplorable...
