An LPG tanker parked along NH31 fell into a roadside ditch after a speeding truck hit it from the rear at Mainaguri in Jalpaiguri district on Wednesday around 3.30am.
Police and the fire brigade disconnected power supply in the area and told local people not to light stoves fearing gas leak from the tanker.
The tanker was pulled out of the ditch with the help of cranes around 11.15am yesterday
