Call it a weird statement from a hill based party or repeating what their masters have instructed them to convey, yesterday Jan Andolan Party President Harka Bahadur Chettri told the press that Bengal Government is likely to give "more power" to development board.
Following a rally by the Biswakarma Youth Association in Kalimpong, Mr. Harka stated "if the development board works properly then the Bengal government is keen to bestow more "powers" on them...:"
Mr. Harka further claimed that "[Bengal] Chief Secretary has already conveyed their intention to do so."
