ASSAM GOVERNMENT DECLARES RS. 10 LAKH FOR BOXER SHIVA THAPA, PROPOSED TO BE AWARDED 1 CRORE RUPEES IF HE WINS MEDAL IN #RIO2016

The Assam Government today announced a cash incentive of Rs 10 Lakhs to Olympian Boxer Shiva Thapa. "As a token of our appreciation, I propose to award him Rs 10 lakh this year and if he bags any medal in Rio Olympics 2016, our government proposes to award Rs 1 crore to him," said Himanta Biswa Sarma Finance Minister of Assam.
