An Appeal for Support from Team Run with Roshni

Dear All,

Team Run with Roshni is supporting under privileged runners to run marathons in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Meghalaya since 2012.

We will be supporting fifteen runners to run Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2017. Registration for the same has already started.

Three runners, who are the winners of Kalimpong Half marathon 2016 from girls side will be supported by Rotary Club of Kalimpong.

Two runners, who are the winners of Kalimpong Half marathon 2016 from boys side are from Indian Army (JAK rifles), hence they will be able to bear their own cost.

Runesh Tamang's registration is already done by Mr. Devendra Mane.

Now we are looking for the immediate support to help us to do the registration of ten runners for SCMM 2017. Registration fees for Half marathon is Rs.1600/-. Your support will go a long way.

If you are willing to help us by doing online registration of any runner, we can share with you the required documents and the details of the runners. Or you may send us the cheque (only Mumbai) of Rs.1600/- in the name of "PROCAM INTERNATIONAL PVT. LTD. – SCMM"

Further, we need support to buy train tickets for these runners from Darjeeling to Mumbai, their accommodation and food. The cost to support one runner from Darjeeling to run Mumbai Marathon is Rs.8000/- (approx). Please do let us know, if you would like to support the entire costs of some runners.

These runners are doing really good. They come within 20th position out of 13000 runners in Mumbai Half Marathon. Many times, they do not have proper running shoes. They don't have coach. However the best timing of the runner from our team is 1hr 14mins for Half marathon i.e 21km and 2hrs 51mins for marathon i.e 42km. If we are able to support these kids at the right age, they have potential to bring Olympic medal for India.
