A blind footballer from Bhimbahar near Siliguri made everyone proud
Jaydeep Kindo a class eight student of Bhimbahar Blind School have made everyone proud after winning ‘Promising Youngster’ award during Indo-Japan Blind Team B Football match held at Kerala recently.
Jaydeep son of a tea garden worker and resident of Tin Line in Bijay Nagar Tea Estate near Naxalbari is promising footballer since he was nine years old.
Being a blind footballer one cannot not imagine that Jaydeep can score goal like other players who have full vision.
Rajkumar Naskar, blind teacher of Naxalbari informed that Jaydeep along with four others were selected by the selection team who have visited Bhimbahar School for national team.
Finally only Joydeep was selected to play for international match with Japan held from 17th to 20th December 2019 at Kerala. From Bengal only two players were selected, one Jaydeep and another Rajkumar Bhagat of Navdeep, Kolkata.
Jaydeep said that he is proud to participate in the international match representing his school where he learnt everything and got support from teachers.
He said that he is aiming to play in more international matches and make his school and India feel proud.
